Anyone else really into the Cocteau Twins?

If so, post your favorite songs!

After listening to this video.... It seems I am not into them.

digitaldivas 02-13-2014 10:58 AM

yeah, it's more on the gothic side of things...

mikesouth 02-13-2014 11:07 AM

I'd rather listen to cats fucking on metal trashcans

oppoten 02-13-2014 11:07 AM

I'm into many similar bands, but for some reason Cocteau Twins passed me by. Singer seems very interesting, a bit like Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance).

Right now I'm into late era Talk Talk

Yup, they were labelmates on 4AD and IIRC collaborated on the This Mortal Coil projects together. Prolly some other stuff too. I never could really get into the Twins as Elizabeth Fraser's vocals grated on me, some people love em though.

If we're going with that era of shoegaze rock, I'd lean more towards My Bloody Valentine.

not my cup of tea :2 cents::2 cents:

The girl who did my weekly massage used to play their album every time I saw her. I didn't have the heart to tell her I thought they sucked. They are relaxing though...

Did someone punch Sade in the throat?..

Edit: I didn't mean Sade - I meant Enya...

"Heaven or Las Vegas"

look it up yourself

On searching Youtube for Elizabeth Frazer, I found this BBC documentary on Jeff Buckley (they were lovers apparently).

Well worth watching if you're a fan of his music
