I'm into many similar bands, but for some reason Cocteau Twins passed me by. Singer seems very interesting, a bit like Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance).

Yup, they were labelmates on 4AD and IIRC collaborated on the This Mortal Coil projects together. Prolly some other stuff too. I never could really get into the Twins as Elizabeth Fraser's vocals grated on me, some people love em though.

If we're going with that era of shoegaze rock, I'd lean more towards My Bloody Valentine.

The girl who did my weekly massage used to play their album every time I saw her. I didn't have the heart to tell her I thought they sucked. They are relaxing though...
