no...not really....i wouldn't consider myself a materialist:) Although I do enjoy nice things....By the way i had that same desk and found that even though it looks ergonomic and all it totally isn't! i returned it after a week! Ikea sucks for quality but i guess it's most convenient for most people these days.

It's funny the guy who built the desk for me told me it was avery sturdy and an excellent piece. Maybe I guess the quality lies in who puts the desk together? :winkwink:
