Do they work?..

Just looking at them now - Any suggestions?....

Got a mad Filipino every Friday who loves sweeping and dusting instead. Robot vacuum might be quieter though, she never stops talking to breathe.

We have a Roomba 700 and love it.

We hit the button before we call it a night and the entire front room, kitchen and family room is clean when we wake up.

Definitely invest in a couple of additional virtual walls and replacement brush set though, we found the side brush needs replacing every couple of months, but other than that, cant find a bad thing to say about it.

No clue.

It runs for maybe 1-2 hours, does a good job, can't put a price on that :1orglaugh

I bought the iRobot 563 Pet Series Roomba about 4 years ago. It does a good job and it's still going strong. You can set it up to run automatically at a certain time for whatever days of the week you want and when it's done it will dock itself back to the charging station.

Funny story about my Roomba that wasn't funny at the time. I set the Roomba to run and went to the store. When I got back it smelled horrible. Turns out one of my dogs had diarrhea in the room where the Roomba was running and it smeared the shit all over the floor. What a mess to clean up that was. Had to take apart the entire Roomba to get all of the shit out of it.

Been there, done that.

Nastiest job ever.

I had a couple; they worked okay for a while but not for long (a few months tops)

I've got a Neato XV-21... For the most part it's pretty good, it's amazing watching it navigate tight spaces and corners and stuff. Picks up all the pet hair daily. It takes it around 3 and a half hours to clean our 1900 sqft place (it returns twice to charge during that time). It can be finicky finding it's docking station with the IR sensors, so you have to have it out in the open against a naked wall which is kind of annoying. It's also quite loud, so running it at night is out of the question for us (I usually put on headphones if it's running while I'm working, or start it manually when I leave the house).

I have a Roomba as well and love the hell out of it. It works so well I'm planning on getting the wet mop version and then the hand job attachment.

Roomba and it rocks. I bought it off of Cragislist so I missed some parts etc. We put shoees in the doorways to restric its movement but still great.

Good thread. I was looking to buy one for hardwood floor.

arock10 02-11-2014 06:28 AM

Does it, you know, give good blow jobs?

pornguy 02-11-2014 07:39 AM

We have a full time maid so we dont really need one except on weekends. But our house is multi level so until it can go up and down a few steps, not worth it for us.

potter 02-11-2014 08:01 AM

Have a roomba as well and love it. We have three levels of floors so every weekend we have it do every floor of the house, does a great job.

Can't get the stairs though, so we have to manually do those every now and again.
