Lenovo service rocks!

I have a two year old Lenovo W520 that's starting to act up, so I give them a call figuring there might be some service or warranty left.

Next day a technician (well two, a trainee was with him) comes to my office. Replaces the fan and the speakers.

No charge.

3 year built in warranty with next business day service at your location apparently comes with every Lenovo laptop. Pretty fucking awesome if you ask me :thumbsup

Yeah. Lenovo is pretty good. That is the reason why they grow so fast. :thumbsup

wow. Glad to hear that.

May be my next laptop.

I just got a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (fuck yeah clementine orange) and it has exceeded expectations. Good to hear that their service will do the same. Look for Lenovo smart phones to hit US soon as they just bought Motorola from Google...oh yeah and did you guys know they bought IBM a few years back...Lenovo is on a roll!

Most of Lenovo's solid pro/business models come with 3 year/NeXT Business day on-site warrenty. And they only send out qualified personal.

But if you buy the consumer/pro-sumer models, you only have the regular warrenty.

I just bought a Lenovo with Windows 7 and it starts up fast and not loaded with any junk software. Nice.

freecartoonporn 02-06-2014 11:18 AM

indeed thats pretty fucking awesome., instead of spending hours on phone talking with some indian guy from support.

Dell has had this for their pro series (Latitude) laptops for years. Never bought laptop without it, both parts and labor covered in the plan. Very nice indeed.

Sounds like a great support. Maybe I will buy something of their stuff in future.

Lenovo is IBM right. They have been around for a long time for a reason.

No, Lenovo manufactured a lot of IBM endpoints over the years, and bought the brand (thinkstation/pad/book) many years ago. Last month they bought the X86 server series as well, so most X-series servers will now be "Lenovo"

They have been Building them for years anyways, so nothing will change other than ownership.

Add their stockmajority in EMC, you will see them grow even more in the future. They are the biggest smartphone manufactor in China as well, but they have signed a deal not to sell them outside China (officialy - so far)

Do they cover only certain areas/cities? I am trying to imagine cost of going to the client who is lets say 200 miles away from where their support guys are located.

It is just insane how they(notebook manufactors) dont realize how bad that it is-for example my acer laptop also had bunch of junk installed and as a result it took 6 minutes to load windows. So after years of using it finaly delete it and install fresh windows and now it takes no more then 1 minute to fully load.

They get paid to include all the shitty programs. First thing on a new pc, always uninstall all "free" and "trial" pre-loaded software, then make a full recovery backup yourself.
