    Bush, Jesus and the FDA

Bush announced his plan to select pro-lifer Dr. W. David Hager to head up the FDA's Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee. "FDA advisory panels often have near-final say over crucial health questions. " This committee covers all reproductive drugs including contraceptives, hormone therapy and non-surgical alternatives to sterilization and pregnancy termination.

This guy won't prescribe contraception to un-married women in his private practice and his book "Stress and the Woman's Body" places "an emphasis on the restorative power of Jesus Christ in one's life" and recommends specific Scripture readings and prayers for such ailments as headaches and premenstrual syndrome. "

Which horseman of the apocalypse is this?

Google Dr. W. David Hager for more...

That is seriously one of the scariest things I have read in a long time.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

the religious right is to the convervatives what minorities are to the left. just a tool.

        you should know that labret.
Ever notice that pretty much everything added to the Constitution after the original was a mistake.

to highlight a central fact: this president?this presidency?is the most resolutely ?faith-based? in modern times

The atmosphere inside the White House, insiders say, is suffused with an aura of prayerfulness. There have always been Bible-study groups there; even the Clintonites had one. But the groups are everywhere now. Lead players set the tone. There is Gerson, whose office keeps being moved closer to the Oval. Chief of staff Andrew Card?s wife is a Methodist minister. National-security adviser Condi Rice?s father was a preacher in Alabama.

Just look at the backgrounds of all his nominations.

Make no bones about it, the evangelicals are in power now.
