A really early release so it's fairly limited at least as far as the theme goes, but it has all of the functionality to import the chaturbate XML feeds as a custom post type. Figured it may be useful for someone. It is set to auto import every 30 minutes.

interesting... I'll have to play with it. can it be set to sort the female vs male vs transsexual categories, so the females feed can be posted on one site, the transsexuals to another site?

hmm demo works on my side, maybe cached, can you try clearing cache and loading it up.

You can sort the data however you like, ie webcams/female shows the female cams. You can setup custom queries if you wanted it more selective. Like i said the theme is not a complete theme, it just imports and updates the fees, and displays them in a basic way. To get the most out of it you would need to customize it.

must be server side caching, ill try n clear it out tonight, either way the demo works pretty much the same as the whitelabel, its just wordpress based.

feel free to use it to release a better theme, I havent really had time to finish it up, figured someone could make use out of it.

thanks for the linkage, i decided to swap adultwpthemes over to the nomoneyinporn domain since i dont really have any themes up anymore.

The main difference with this theme/plugin is it stores the cams as posts, when it runs the imports it just checks if the posts exist and updates them as necessary, then sets everything else that is not in the feed to 0 viewers and 0 seconds online, so that the offline cams don't show on the blog. Obviously within the 30 minute span users could log in or out, but it allows you to cache the results and not call the feed every page load. And stores the offline pages so if they are indexed it will just show a featured cam on that page and leave an offline message.

If anyone has feature requests or enhancement ideas , feel free to leave a reply here or on the post. It is nowhere near a final product.

Updated things a bit, I moved all of the display related stuff to the theme. Now the plugin just sets up the post type and meta and performs the import. Should make it easier to modify the output.

Added in a recently watching plugin, modified to match the themes output.

Hey, I've been playing with the Chaturbate api feed too, not for a wp plugin though, just as a stand alone white label type.

First cut was pulling the feed each page load which of course made the page take a lot longer to load. Second cut was into a database (not wp, but same idea). During testing, I noticed a really hard draw on the server when I was doing the simplexml pull of the feed. I changed that up some and just pull the feed using curl and then a custom parse of it and it runs a shit load quicker and doesn't produce the load I was seeing. That is what I have in the current cut and I am doing an update every 5 minutes to keep it fresh and it seems to be working quite well.

http://nomoneyinporn.org/chaturbate-wordpress-theme/ updated a few things. Also added a featured chatroom to the homepage, and a ethnicity taxonomy. On import it automatically tags latinos and asians. If you install this over an old version, be sure to reset permalinks, and reactivate plugins.

More than likely the feed was down or something when it ran the update, if that happens it sets all of the cams to 0 viewers and 0 minutes online. It's one of the things on my buglist, I need to have it check that the feed exists before it runs the import. Ill probably do it tonight.

My js dude just dissappeared on me so I had to take it down. Basically the updated jquery ui broke it. IF someone is willing to fix it I will release it for free.

Heh, nevermind this is about the theme. The theme still works fine, if the page shows no cams, that means the last time the script updated the feed was probably down. That happens because it resets the online time to 0 before import. Something I haven't had a chance to fix.

The plugin i was referring to was wpPostGen. The offer still stands, if anyone would like to fix the jquery stuff I will gladly release it again for free.
