Should Bitcoin be Regulated?
There haven't been many bitcoin threads lately so I wanted to ask, should bitcoin be regulated?
I know that bitcoin gets off on being this whole unregulated badboy but the fact is no-one wants to take it seriously because no-one trusts it. Therefore, should bitcoin succumb and become regulated? Fact is, it's awesome and it doesn't matter if it's regulated or not if the guys playing the game are legit. |
I think Governments would like to regulate Bitcoin, however other than the interface between Bitcoin and the traditional financial systems I'm not sure how that can be done.
|
It's already regulated by existing laws.
|
I don't see a need for it to be regulated. . . yet. If something happened and there was rampant fraud or illegal activity with it then maybe, but it seems to be doing fine on its own.
|
I think eventually it will have to be regulated... not sure if bitcoin itself, but all cryptocurrency . 2014 will be VERY interesting when it comes to coins !
|
Bitcoins should stay the way it is, if governments were to regulate it they will intentionally regulate bitcoins to death to appease their sugar daddy bankers.
|
As much as I don't like how bitcoin can be abused by pirates and blak market type websites, I still think it should stay the way it is.
If the government was running bitcoin it would be far to easy for them to seize funds and have complete control over all coins. If the US government took over bitcoin then it might end up being only a us currency. If No government runs it it'll be a currency for all in a sense. |
Don't understand your question.
What would you see as an appropriate regulation? |
I think bit coin threads should be regulated
Also we have enough fiat currencies in the world already, coins are just retarded |
