I recently received two DMCA complaints. One was from a program I was pushing and somehow I got caught up in their net of actual content thieves. They sent notices to Google and about one half of the site in question was removed from the results. Do you think they paid me for my time to counter with Google and get my results back? I stopped them.

The other was from a company that gave me permission to use their content and assured me I was white listed. Got snared again and Google removed my site from search. Do you think they reimbursed me for the lost sales with my other programs because of the drop in traffic?

Over zealous fucking assholes.

Thankfully my hosting company tells them to fuck off. Thank you cyberwurx!

not from what i remember, but if you yourself file a dmca and the content is not yours, he doesnt have to reply or take action, sadly thats how the process works, unless you represent your boss/client or a hired dmca takedown provider.

any chance you got the url?

BSleazy 01-28-2014 12:49 PM

Trust me I'm very well versed on DMCA and so are our Attorneys. We are now aware of who is doing this and where his servers are, thus why he is ignoring DMCA....just waiting for a friendly email so we can make nice and this whole thing goes away nice and quite and he can return to making money.

spunky99 01-28-2014 01:51 PM

according to him he emailed you back so *shrug*?

I've always loved the concept of people threatening others with legal action.

I like to imagine that in some alternative universe, there's some lawyer that's going to turn around and say 'uhh, yeah you should probably just threaten him with legal action, that sounds like a good idea'.
