I PVR'ed the show and zoomed through it later watching the highlights. I thought LORDE was great, and the surprise wedding by Queen Latifa was pretty cool. I don't really like Beyonce and could care less about her ass.

Who sucked though was METALICA. What a mess. Pairing Metalica with a classical piano player? Bad idea. Having them play their song ONE to that audience? Bad idea. Plus they just sounded like shit. To me it sounded like one of them kept missing their mark or cues along the way. Not really sure what was going on but after about 2 minutes I skipped ahead to the next act.

The performance was great.
I was shocked to find that she is 17, though. She looks like she's in her late thirties :helpme

I agree with you on that - I thought the Metallica performance was total shit with that fucking lame piano and you are certainly right that performing ONE to that audience of elitist assholes was an insult to the song and to actual rock n roll fans! You are right as well that something was off...they never quite hit the stride of the song.

And then to have NIN on like an afterthought and run the credits of the show when you know people are getting up and leaving...again, insult to real musicians.
