Back from Aruba

The wife and I had the time of our lives. :)

The Tamarijn resort was top-notch, the beaches were beyond awesome...weather stayed great the entire week. :thumbsup

Two full days of off-roading the entire island in our rented jeep - resulted in over 800 scenic pics...and a good sunburn - took one for the team.

The food - just amazing. Since the Tamarijn/Divi resorts are all inclusive we ate like royalty...hell, think I gained 20lbs, lol. Sampled nearly every drink known to man, hahaha.

Pics to follow.

Thanks.

Came home to snow and sub-zero temps - landing in Toronto was a reality check. :1orglaugh Our car was buried in 4" of snow at the park-n-fly across from the airport.

We went a year ago. Beautiful place, and would probably do it again. Did you get a chance to climb that small mountain near the middle of the island? Don't remember the name of it. There's a few hundred steps that you take up the side, so its pretty easy, with a cool view of the whole island.

Here's a few pics from the top:

Here's a few more pics from around the island...

Slowing down in my old age. :1orglaugh

Still going through them all...plus the video footage.

Hopefully mid-week when I have some spare time.

Hooiberg Mntn - or something like that.

Naw, we didn't climb it - the wife has advanced RA (rhumatoid arthritis) and doesn't handle stairs at all. Instead we just used it as a reference point for navigation all day, lol.

Mostly we stayed along the coastal off-road trails - baby beach, natural bridge, baby bridge, all through the National Park trails, a few gold mine ruins, one of the natural caves, etc.

We did that, too. We were there for 6 days I think, with nothing planned at all. So, we just rented a car and drove around each day to see where we would end up. Spent a couple days just laying on the beach, a couple shooting some stuff, but mostly just goofing off on our own time. Glad you guys had fun!

Very nice, now back to work you go. Hate that return from vacation to work feeling...
