No, I'm saying that as a new commentator, O'Reilly has a very far reach, because he's the number one guy on cable news. President Obama can reach more people on his show than any other venue.

O'Reilly's audience is older for sure.

I think part of the reason is that younger people don't really pay attention to the news. Their lives are a lot more fun at that point than when they get older. They are more interested in getting paid and getting laid.

So older people tend to watch the "boring" news more than young people overall.

Which would help to explain why O'Reilly crushes the competition.

I'm guessing if all the younger people were actually interested in what's happening in the world and all watched the news...the ratings would be different.

That's what most people who get all riled up over Limbaugh, Beck, and others don't understand.

These guys aren't in the business of "news". They are entertainers. And their job is to get ratings.

CNN, FOX, and even MSNBC do have actual reporters and news segments. But the Hannitys, Maddows, Piers Morgans, etc. are NOT those reporters. They are characters that are carefully crafted in an attempt to draw ratings.

When I watch their shows I watch them for entertainment purposes. Not to draw any conclusions.

I just watched that clip. I have to say...that was a really good interview.

O'Reilly is actually a pro when he's not acting like a fool for ratings. I can't stand watching his show anymore...but that's a damn good interview.

If you watch the actual interview and not just that clip which is edited to make it look bad...you'll see that he never "interrupted" anyone. It was a pretty good interview and O'Reilly was very respectful and he and The President had an insightful conversation.

Democrat's seem to always overreach in their bullshit. And that video editing and the claims that he "interrupted" (during the interview that HE was conducting) are another example of it.

If O'Reilly hadn't interrupted Obama, it would have stopped being an interview and started becoming a campaign speech.

It takes a good interviewer to keep things rolling, ask the hard questions and keep on topic. Not even close, O'Reilly still is a very good interviewer. It's not going to be much about Obama's agenda, it's going to be more about answering for all the shit going on, like if you like your insurance, you can keep it, Bengazi, NSA spying on Americans, NRA targeting conservative groups and those kind of things. Obama will put out something about immigration reform. O'Reilly will bring up lower median wages and a smaller work force and what he is going to do to help that. He will bring up the 2014 elections.
