Two people have been killed in clashes between police and protesters in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

Prosecutors confirmed the two had died from bullet wounds. They are the first fatalities since protests began in November at the government's rejection of a planned treaty with the EU.

One of them died because of falling from an arch he used to throw Molotov cocktail to the police. I mean the guy just wanted to burn the Ukrainian police alive.

EU wants Ukraine to cut pensions (they already super low) and cut a bunch of other stuff, but even if Ukraine does all that they will not join EU it will be just the first step (might take 10+ years to join EU)... not to mention EU is broke... they are fighting to have it worse

on this i partially agree, im not sure joining the EU is best for Ukraine at this point, nor do i think it will make the average ukrainian citizens life any better for many decades to come. you might get a bunch of new highways and lots of foreign investment(which isnt always a good thing), but then foreigners will make the profits.

it's not easy to leave EU, it's not like I don't like it see you later... once you join, they have a bunch of agreements signed, give loans with terms, etc... tell me one thing, the biggest economy in EU (Germany), do you think they are happy to be in EU? they just love to bail out small broke countries and give them cash right?
