After 10+ years it ends, logmein free. Altenatives?
 

I use logmein free daily just to access my office pc. Just got the note it will end the 28th.

Not gonna pay 100$+ to just access (do not need all their paid services) my office, so looking for alternatives.

What do you use? Free, paid? Better than logmein?

What did it do exactly?

just access a remote pc and work on it, we do not need all the extra fancy remote stream and print options.

I was in the same boat as you, even made the same thread yesterday. I switched to teamviewer and couldn't be happier. It actually works a lot better than logmein.

logmein really fucked up here. If the price wasn't so ridiculous I probably would have stayed with them without even thinking about it. But over $37 a month is robbery. ( I should say the $37 a month is for the 10 computer limit version)

This is probably the first recorded case where someone had to go to the office to
work more because they were cheap.

Been using it for a few hours now and it look solid and fast. I'm very used to logmein so i have to get familiar with it some more though.

My office pc is in sleep mode a lot and i have to wake it up (WOL), it looks like Teamviewer does this for us? I tried to put the office in sleep mode from home but that did not seem to work. I'll take the laptop to the office tomorrow to see how it interacts;-)

And yes, not the smartest move by Logmein. I would have paid too, but not over 100$ for just this.
