Why do prettend-to-be-wise people put signatures in their posts?

How often does it happen? 1 in 100.000 posts?

I wonder how many folks view the mobile version of GFY? For me it's 90% and mobile version has no sigs, images or skin.
Always find it amusing when people say 'see sig' knowing full well many people will never see it.
