here's what I'm doing abouyt the tax situation
I'm working less and earning less, because the more I work and earn the more I'm punished ... strange how it all turned out... the year that I pulled the most I had the least amount walk around money... no more of that for me :thumbsup
|
reinvesting into misspelled thread titles I see
|
Yes, that is how you are rewarded...giving more to the corrupt government to waste...err...I mean spend. You can never have too many $400 hammers after all.
The joys of being an Amerikan! |
Lollol try coming to my country.
Basic taxation is around 46%, then to that you add 8% labor security tax, then you add another 15% on all amounts earned above $100K a year (and lots of us do well over that). Then top it off with adding 25% VAT on anything you buy. And don't even get me started on the 180% income tax on cars, tax on sugar, chocolate, alcohol, electricity - you name it. |
So where are u from?

(hey if you're an earner making high six figures paying about 50% tax on your net I apologize) |
foolish op.

lol....even if I were on welfare I seriously doubt the money would be coming from some guy living the Ted Kaczynski lifestyle in the woods of Montana. Regardless, the keyword in your post was net. You're not paying 50% tax on your gross, so get your damn net down and pay less taxes, and that doesnt mean make less like you apparently think it does. |

The American dream is bullshit.
it's practically impossible to become rich the system is set up that way fuck the government find every way to not pay your taxes. The working man is a sucker. I'm including myself in that. |

In order to pay less for taxes, you make less? That's fucking brilliant.

create an s corp and get paid in quarterly dividends on half of your income. Takes you down to 15 % on that money. Talk to your cpa.
|
Translation: I am heading for financial disaster so instead of looking in the mirror I'll blame it on wanting to lower my tax liability.
|
Try reinvesting your cash so that it isn't taxed... hm???
|
pay someone to do your taxes then, in this biz you should not be paying taxes on everything you make. If you do not know how to do them right it is worth paying someone 500 to save you 10K
|
Bitcoin pays no taxes:winkwink:

It does get to a point to where it feels like you are working for diminishing returns.

Unfortunately. And thats why it's good for politicians to cater to slackers/losers - they are majority of voters. Just punish minority hard working-more earning people and give that money to slackers. |

Unless they are taking more than 50% this seems kind of whiny to me.

Higher taxes are a fact of life now, but at the end of the day keeping 50% of a million is still better than keeping 60% of five hundred thousand.
|
Look at taxes like donations... your supporting the troops, interstate highways and the elderly.

These are taxes paid which aren't included in your federal or state returns. They're additional taxes raising your actual rates much higher. |

I'm the person that is saying don't judge these people lol, you are the one doing the judging. My job is extremely easy for the amount of money I make. Sorry your job is very difficult still, maybe you should've done something more lucrative that is easier. |

You do know that the Bush tax cuts were made permanent and the only change was for earners above $400k. Otherwise the taxes have been the same rate.... I'm not an accountant and there may have been other changes (mostly ending halving the payroll tax... but that effected lower earners the most), but nothing has changed much. Taxes are still extremely low relative to the rest of the western world, but the rest of the western world doesn't have to pay for healthcare so it balances out... maybe... slightly.. |

recently watched a Rolling Stones documentary- the Mick Taylor years 1969-1974, good doc too.
They were in the 90% tax bracket at that time, they should have just worked less. / |
