Some reports say the execution today took over 15 minutes. A new mixture of midazolam and hydromorphone. I don't know how long executions took with Pentobarbital. Pentobarbital can no longer be exported to the US due to Danish law. I remember that one guy took potassium cyanide in the courtroom and it only took 5 minutes for that to take place, but it did look painful.

Sucks that a guy who raped and then stabbed a pregnant woman to death wasn't treated better.

He's dead so they worked well enough.

The sad thing is that dying suffering people from all over the world have to travel to Mexico in hopes of getting a bottle of Pentobarbital to end their own misery voluntarily and peacefully.

For all those kooks against the death penalty who ask who are we to play God and end somebody's life I ask who are we to tell somebody that they have to live, no matter how painful and hopeless living is for them. If God really cared the next time somebody jumped in front of a subway God's invisible hand would scoop them up to safety.
