China creates giant vending machine dispensing electric cars for rent
 

Kandi Technologies has developed a gigantic vending machine stocked with cars, delivered on-demand as part of an electric vehicle sharing program.

For the love of god why do they make electric cars so fucking ugly? Tesla makes them look good, why are they the only one?

That's good for the city, I wouldn't go on a long journey with one of those. Still a long way for the electric cars to take the lead.

Do they come with smog and PM2.5 filtration?

for long rides the bmw i3 is the solution as it has a petrol motor that runs power to the motor if the batteries die.

the big thing is that this is from china and should be cheap.

at the moment cheap electric cars have low range, such as 40 miles or so, but this car they have seems to do 100 or more miles.

the great problem with electrick cars is going to be charging it. in the uk many people do not have a garage and those who do do not always have mains power in them.

they are ugly because they are unproportional...the need to make the car small, yet fit people inside, low on cost of making, road legal etc etc, this is why. With tesla they don't make the car small, it's not low cost either....

I will look for that machine in a couple months when I go there
