Crapple fanboys bashing time
Nice list explaining inferiority of Isheep phones:
http://thedroideffect.com/100-things...o-android-can/ |
Hmmm... this list is a little out of date (sep 18) and a little wrong..
It's true that it doesn't have NFC capabilities yet (I wish it had) but the technology is still new and it might be a security issue... and besides I'm willing to Bet that Apple will try to make its own version. Replacable keyboard? It's all a single unit. Panoramic photos? Of course it does. USB Host? Of course you can. And yes of course you can watch streaming media from an SD card but you either need an adapter, or even better, you plug the SD card into your mac or macbook and stream wirelessly (which by the way, is fantastic). ...and yes of course you can monitor data usage, and has of course you can monitor battery usage... Alot of what this author wrote is interesting for sure, but clearly he's just a mac hater. Alot of the things he is complaining about are useless things anyway ("Changed desktop based on situation? What?). No removable storage? Wow thats so old - iPhones come with 64GB of space, and you can use free cloud services or effortless save to your home network or Mac/pc anyway, wirelessly of course. And of course you can run porn on it. You can't run flash directly in Safari, but there are other ways to run flash... There's one thing that Android phones can't do that Apple phones can: Make you look COOL, like me! /suck it. ;) |
Its not the point that few of the 100 are not correct now, because:
a) majority still are correct b) main point is that apple is always inferior and always lagging behind And apple phone makes you look like brainwashed sheep while other phones makes you look like smart choice award winner. |
Wow, I'm a sheep ……..
Been called worse, tonight even, lol. Edit, I use my phone for talking, email, checking the weather and occasionally maps. Plus about 20 photos last year. . |

I work around mobile developers and they ALL develop for iOS first, and Android is a second after thought. Windows apps are a very distant third.
For every $1 an app makes on iphone, it makes .17 cents in the android store. Thats more than 5 to 1 profit you make building things on Apple. Apple aint going ANYWHERE. and no im not a sheeple, love my pc, im just saying when it comes to mobile Apple left everyone in the dust |

Sheep are those brainwashed by brilliant apple marketing into thinking that iphone is superior. Quote:

Apple user is definitely better customer: 1. He is used to paying for everything 2. He is less "smart choice" Not sure how is that relevant to what is discussed in this thread though :) |
I think my next phone will be something like the Caterpillar B15. Water, dust, and sand proof. Plus you can drop it.

Usually I do not need OS phone as phone is mostly for calls for me. My point is not praising android, my mere point is that iphone is not superior, in fact it is inferior in both hardware and software compatibility (as per that list for example). So this thread is made only to laugh at sheep who imagine that their overpriced iphone is superior while it is definitely not. |

It's ok wallflower, just remember that you're special no matter what anybody says. |
Droid = ghetto phone . You can pick one up in every convenience store only get flash using Firefox. iPhone is iPhone...inferior to what? A eye scanner on a Galaxy S4-- that drains the battery? That's called "fluff." Fluff is like most XXX sites that you guys moan about on here.
|
not 1 single Android phone can do all 100 of those things. so comparing the iPhone 5s to 5 or 10 Android phones grouped together is ridiculous

I dont see why anyone cares which phone someone else uses.
The best phone is the one that is best for you. It's really that simple. |
Yeah, I've had both android and iphone... there are things the android can do that the iphone will never have to or need to do.

Food for thought:
There are countless experiments aimed at analyzing the benefits of the placebo effect. Two that come to mind in relation to this neverending debate -- A test was conducted where two groups purchased energy drinks at difference prices. The group that purchased the same energy drink at a higher price (read: higher perceived value) solved puzzles more quickly than the group that purchased it at a discount. In a similar test, subjects were given placebo pain killers (no active ingredients), group A was told one dose cost 10 cents, group B was told it cost $2 (approximately, I don't recall the exact figure). Guess which group had a higher percentage of reports in pain reduction? I could go on with examples of Nespresso and many more brands you know (and possibly use daily), but you get the idea. If there is a beneficial positive result, does it matter how that result was achieved (provided that the means of achieving the improvement are legal, ethical, etc.)? It simply does not matter whether the iPhone has "multi-wallpaper support" or not, what matters is whether the device helped improve its user's quality of life. :2 cents: |
So I read the whole thing and was going to respond point by point, but like with most of these bullshit articles, 90% of the list is things that the average user would never do or care about. It's so beyond their technical ability or need it's just wasted space on the OS. Even something marginally useful like controlling a DSLR is a pretty fucking niche market when you think about it. Than you get to shit like:
Turn the phone into a server: phone to become a DLNA, DNS, Email, FTP, IRC, Proxy, SMB, SMS, SSH, Web, WebDAV, XMPP server (Servers Ultimate) 99.9999999999999% of users, android or iPhone don't even know what the fuck you're talking about. Seriously, walk into a phone store, ask any joe blow customer if they'd like that functionality, watch the look on their face. Or. Run system maintenance tools like cache cleaner, Automatically cleanup all app related files once an app is uninstalled (CCleaner) Yeah, okay, this might be useful if iOS updates didn't do this for you. But, even if this functionality was included, again, 99.99% of people would never even fucking do it. Most people don't even do it or even know fucking how to do it on their desktop let alone their phone. Great, android has a bunch of niche features that nerds or specialists or some branch of people need. Good for fucking them! If these small features are important to them they'll buy a fucking android. If they need a good phone that works, does a lot of shit, and has tech that will last them a couple years instead of being outdated in a couple months... they'll buy an iPhone. |

By the way which phones are you talkingabout? If we talk about top range win or android phones they are better. If we talk about mid range - they are not. |

"its not better" being the operative phrase. Nice conclusion, sir :thumbsup |

Bottom line of his post - apple is not better, people just think it is better because it is most expensive. LOL, at you thumbing up this post :winkwink: |

Well said, many people do not need any of the "functions". They just need texting, calling, internet, email , photos etc etc.. That almost every phone has. So if you take crapplephone and if you take some other phone that cost 50% of it, both would be more than enough for majority of users. Yet many of them would pay double just for apple logo (and that placebo effect of course). |
I'm just fine with being a sheep then. I enjoy my phone, it gives me no issues. If it does I know I can go speak with someone at the apple store who will help me with my issue. Plus I can stream Pandora to and from work (1 hour commute at min each way), and use it very frequently during the day. I get home and there is still plenty of power left.

Mineistaken, you are missing the point.
"Better" is defined by the consumer. The "Best Phone", is the phone that is best for the customer. I tried all different kinds of phones a long time ago and finally bought my first Apple iPhone about 5 years ago. I like it because its the best for me. It does everything that I want it to do, and everything I need it to do. The batteries last forever and the screen is great. I've dropped each phone since then a few times each and broke only one of them. I like the iPhone not only for being a phone, but the company behind it. I've always had great service from Apple for not just my phone but for my other apple products too. You are comparing Android to Apple, which you should not do. There are many different phones made to run the Andoid operating system, but only 1 phone for IoS. Are 99% of all Android phones good? Sure, why not? Companies that make them have big investments riding on them so they are as good as they can possibly be I'm sure. Will I consider another phone when I'm ready to buy a new one? Of course I will - I like to consider myself a smart consumer. Only idiots confuse brand loyalty with sheeples, or blindly purchase from a company just because they like them. I, like most other consumers (including Apple customers), are fickle and always looking for the next big thing. If Apple fails to deliver of course they will lose customers, just like any other company would. People here always joke that Apple customers are Sheeps who buy inferior, overprice products just because of the brand when I would argue that just the opposite is true. I have tried lots of other brands, and I come from a PC-only background for the longest time. Apple my friend, makes good stuff. Stop feeling so excluded and go check out their store once in a while and maybe you can stop being the real sheep. |
amazing that anyone who works in, or likes porn, would send money to the apple corporation. Its like jews who love hitler type shit.
Steve jobs - if you want porn, buy an android... |
A Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB is $699 outright in Australia at JB HiFi
An Apple iPhone 5S 16GB is $849 outright in Australia at JB HiFi With a $150 difference in price I know which eco system I'm going to go for. Comparing the phone alone only tells half the story, the other half is the eco-system and Apple leaves everyone else for dead when it comes to content and Apps. I am happy to buy into the Apple eco-system at a premium because there is more choice available within it than any of the alternatives. |
@mickey. As usual i like your post. You were not in vegas right? Weve miss you
If i can add to your comments in my own (bad english speaking) words, well i will say that most of the top brand are most of the time over-priced, does it means its wrong or your a sheep to buy them, not really. People will pay for a brand or something trendy, even if its not the best. Why people buy Armani clothes, because of the brand, yes they have nice quality and beautiful clothes, but mostly for the brand, if your rich or you want to look like, well its a way to show it. I have a tag watch , that cost 100x more than my previous watch....they both give the same time right ! Some good sparkling wine are better than some champagne, some nice brandy are better than some cognac... So why people buy the expensive stufff. . Many reasons, some are too rich to buy anything else, their affraid to be judged. Some want to show they are near the 1% But i think for a lot of peoples its an emotion, it make you feel good to buy luxury and brands. Life is so short, peoples want to make sure they have access sometimes to something special/trendy/en vogue. Theres a price to pay to feel cool, succesfull, up to date. Even if its not the best, if it makes you feel good , if you need ego boost, if it help u to catch girls or impress women, if you feel special and you like it...go ahead..,thats the most important. Some android are better than iphone, but iphone is still a very good phone, and ya, its way more trendy. We also need peoples that like to be different, that like to get deals instead of reputation, that goes on the 3rd rail... Thats why we live in a beautiful world.... And we need differences and some to think out of box ... |
