my theory about free hosted galleries
 

Hi guys,
I noticed alot of the big webmaster programs don't have free hosted galleries and it doesn't look like they are working on having them. I think that maybe it is because free hosted galleries oversaturate the paysite so fast because once you give them to the webmasters, everyone will add them to all of their sites and therefore it will be overpromoted so fast! Some webmasters might make a good profit from free hosted galleries BUT I believe that most of the webmasters just stick them on their sites and expect to get great signups while instead they get 1 signup with a ratio of maybe what? 1:3000. Now Those that download content and make their own galleries are the ones that know how to get sales. Of course it takes time to make the gallery and just being provided with a list of galleries with your code on them already would be much easier but think about it. You will have much better conversions even though the paysite itself and traffic matter on conversions because you will have content that has not been seen so much and the gallery template itself as well. This is just what I think, but my theory is free hosted galleries = quick overpomotion and poor conversions

Don't take me wrong. Free hosted galleries are a big plus for a lot of webmasters but in my opinion they are just a very easy way to fuck up conversions on the paysite. I am sure someone on this board has come up with something like this before but I just thought I should share my thoughts on it with everyone here :)

I know that surfers get tired of seeing the content on free hosted galleries very quickly.

TGPs like the Hun have better quality galleries because the Hun doesn't list hosted galleries. He keeps it fresh.

hmm some have them and some dont. But I dont think they had them at start and having them now has just caused their conversions to go down. I really think that :(

I'm sorry but I think it's the opposite. Surfers will get sick of the same damn hosted galleries all over every tgp and will eventualy get fed up and pay to see a different picture or movie for once. The exception is a certain (to remain un-named) sponsor with like 350-500 hosted movie galleries. Surfers can never get tired of those.

it all depends on how you have the hosted galleries setup. If you dont update them they get stale and boring and you lose sales and waste money on bandwith. *shrugs*

yea the hun has listed hosted galleires but they are not galleries on his account they are galleries people are submitting

If you want to stay ahead of the hosted gallery game you need to be different than everyone else... We have over 400 tgp's listing our Sponser Hosted galleries and movies... The difference is you can't tell ours are sponser hosted... we change the look and style everyday when we provide custom galleries. Fresh content and 20 new galleries a day is all you need to make it in this tgp world. It is boring when all you see is the same
galleries over and over again. If you are a sponser and have content we will build the galleries for you...
