Got it on the PVR, will definitely be watching it. McConnauhay and Harrelson, after EDtv someone had to pair these two up again. Glad it was HBO.

I thought it was great. Really good production and direction, and the story line is great - specially how they're bringing it all together slowly from the past and present. Should be one hell of a show.

Thought it was fantastic. The show has a ton of potential. Absolutely love McConaughey's character

Too early to tell, but I was more excited afetr the first episode of The Killing.

I have to agree with you there. Even though its only one episode in he is killing it.

The final line of the first episode is what really set the tone for the series.

This seems like it is going to be a good one. I dvr tonights. Still havent watched it yet,.

Whenever someone says this about a series as intense as this one is from the first 20 minutes it suggests that they were hoping for something more basic in the shoote em' up cops and robbers style or something. I just watched the 3rd episode of this series last night and again the ending has me waiting for next week, just like last week's episode had me waiting for this week.

I find nothing 'slow' about it. It's at just the right pace. I get the feeling that whenever any of us start thinking they know what's coming... they don't.

MM is bordering on serious overacting, I havent decided yet if I like it or not but it is interesting at least for Alexandras tits in ep 2.

It is an amazing show. Very well written. I love a show that is a good slow burn. You can just feel something dark on the horizon of this one.

yeah, this is one of those slow burns, which is great. People who want some kind of payoff every week need to go watch CSI or Law and Order.

Last two episodes have had me sitting on the edge of the couch. Goodness....

I just saw a funny thing she said today. Apparently the CEO of HBO visited the white house and met Pres. Obama. The Pres asked if he could get copies of Game of Thrones and True Detective. Today that hot girl tweeted, "The President has seen my boobs." She added a picture of Obama winking.

She is smoking hot and seems to have a good sense of humor.

Great show so far. Only three episodes left.

The next season will have a different story and a different cast. :thumbsup

It's only 8 episodes this season... next season is a totally different story, cast, etc.

While I agree that the cast is top notch, I also like that they are changing it up each season. It allows for them to develop and tell a story then move on to something different. Kind of like reading a book.

I have a feeling McConaughey may be winning that Oscar in a few weeks. Even if he doesn't he is about to become very expensive to hire so I don't know if they would be able to get him back even if they wanted to.

If this cast is top notch.

I would believe they will have more top notch people in the new seasons also.

I've watched a couple of episodes and am far from impressed. :2 cents:

It gets better on 3 and especially 4-5th episodes. That being said - it's down to a personal taste.
For example many people praised dexter, but I was not impressed at all.
