I thought I would hate it... but I just saw the video, and think I liked it.

I liked Hurt. Personal Jesus was a different story.

i posted it here............it's haunting and sad. I watched it about 20 times, don't think I can watch it again. It's also a great video and his cover is damn good.

Yeah... I remember your post... but I never bothered to try and hear the song untill a few minutes ago. I figured it would be complete shit being re done by a country fellow.

I agree. I saw it for the first time a few days ago and it really grabs you. I am afraid watching it alone after a few drinks could cut pretty deep.

I downloaded a bunch of the Johnny Cash covers a few weeks ago and grabbed Burning Ring of Fire also. Now my kid is addicted to that song. He normally listens to stuff like Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, DMB, etc.. so him liking a Johnny Cash song is kinda cool.

I just downloaded the Johnny Cash cover of Hurt; OMG that's fuckin' depressing, but it kicked ass... I love those depressing, woe is me tunes, now 'scuse me while I slit my wrists...

I liked the NIN version (original) best.

Surprised that Cash would sing a version of it though. Cool stuff.

yeah i heard it the other day for the first time. it was ok then i realized that it was the NIN cover. then i thought it needs to be only them. it was alright but i have heard much better covers.
