Anyone here ever shipped things by Train? Including your car?
 

So Im moving from San Jose to Dallas in a few weeks and someone told me I can ship everything by train and it's affordable. Including my car.
I think its too good to be true.
Has anyone ever done this? Did it work out for you?

I used to work for a moving company, and we used to move cars. In some cases, we would physically build a deck INSIDE the trailer, drive the car into the trailer, and then drive the car up onto a ramp to a deck - so we could use the space under it for more stuff. One time.... They lost control of the car and destroyed both the trailer and the car. Good times.

My last move was paid for by Playboy, and cost $10k. They moved my motorcycle and all.

Before that we used a pod like company - they drop a trailer off at your location, pick it up, and then move it cross country for you. They gave you a "delivery window" of like two weeks for the drop off of your stuff, which sucked but it was dirt cheap.

thanks guys. I was going to go with uShip and they can ship a car alone for like $800-900, and I can put a little bit in the car.
I want to pay a little bit more and be able to ship it all at once
