I am happy to be on the road - this picture was taken during one of the really cold nights recently - the car is okay in the snow but is also dreaming of a new home in the sun

We've made the first 200 miles south and already are enjoying 20 degrees F of added warmth. We've also made a contact with an editor who may buy the story we hope to write on the trip, and Kitten Boheme has gotten a lot her shopping and beauty makeover accomplished...

I've always enjoyed the drive to start random conversations and drop handbills or other advertisements about my projects. One of these times I'll have to do it with a fancy graphics wrap with my twitter handle or a website on it...

This time we might have an option to either sell this car or use it to press on to XBiz if that's where the story takes us.

I'm driving too.

I know flying is safer, and I don't fear flying.... I just hate it. I hate driving to the airport, dealing with luggage, going through security, waiting on the gate, then in line, getting into your seat, sitting next to a stranger for two hours, waiting to get off the plane, finding your luggage, risking it being lost or damaged.... During my list trip a $200 suitcase broke on me.

I know I sound like a winy bitch, but I just hate everything about flying.

So I'm driving. It's about seven hours, will take me up through Reno and Carson City, never been, sounds like fun.... And I can rock out at my own pace.

Dating Factory has six people to cover four different shows so having my car in town will be handy.

We drank and partied our way from XBiz LA to Internext Las Vegas last year in this limo and had a blast. Too bad the shows are so far apart this year.

I will be driving from Vegas to LA this time around :thumbsup

Tired of road trips these days. Happy to enjoy the hour flight :)

How far are you traveling in total?

We've made it as far as the Colorado/Nebraska border... and it's Kitten's turn to do a little driving so I can catch up on business and make a few posts.

I drove until about 2 AM last night, we only made it to Omaha, though as Kitten insisted on a little shopping at the Mall of America:

The greatest misadventure of the trip so far has been my growing concern that I've been poisoned by the auto detailer's steering wheel cleaning agents - my hands have becoming discolored, now a mottling of a rich orange-brown like a tobacco-stain across my both my palms. Turns out I wasn't really listening, either dead tired or off in my own little world planning big things to come, when Kitten asked me to rub some lotion on her legs, back, etc. in the hotel room in St. Paul.... she tells me now, laughing, that she told me to wash my hands because it was bronzer, but I assumed it was just a moisturizing lotion and she wanted a massage.

We made it!

I saw a few of you as we got into the hotel. Having washed of most of the road dust, salt, and snow we are about to join folks at the Circle Bar and Mojo Host party.

Let me know if anyone is seriously interested in the car, or badly need someone with a car who almost knows how to get around Las Vegas. I'll probably have to make regular trips to Whole Foods and Fry's.
