And news sites...more and more search terms show news sites talking about porn or sex on google. Bing has way less traffic but better results for our audience.

mate, you think you are right, but you are not ... google is out of order, it do not give related results, do you think if people search that tila sextape, everyone wants to see torrents? and if people search for nubiles, you think they expect five search results? and if people search for new porn sites, they want forbes and some comments from 2010? no man, you are not right here ... :2 cents:

Do you think users want free videos or prefer a paysite instead?

But I agree with your other arguments.

Btw: Do people really search for "new porn sites"?

if SEO would be so easy on google like it is on bing, I would be rich...

in other words: if my current bing rankings were receiving google's amount of traffic = I would be rich ;-)

VinceRuth 01-07-2014 02:48 PM

Google like torrents .

lucas131 01-07-2014 06:48 PM

so, how many results do you have for nubiles? try your next five searches, anything not only porn related, in google also in bing and compare the results :winkwink: that is what i talk about. for me bing wins, if google will continue this chaos, bing ftw very soon! :2 cents:

thedamirst 01-07-2014 07:49 PM

you can not compare this two at all ...

There's not only a problem with adult search results from a mainstream perspective as well.

I see it every day and im baffled every time I see bad results or questionable data. The results which affects consumers should be better today than 2-3 years ago, it's worse.

The results I want to see is the best answer or solution to my search phrase, it was way better before, but they're telling me it's better than ever.

If people knew this they would look elsewhere, but the general consumer are not educated like professional searchers.

What the web needs is a much less dominant google. For whatever I care they can go bust completely, that would even out the playing field completely. But I guess hell needs to freeze before something like that would happen or the sun run out of fuel.

Remember the catch phrase "do no evil".

It's like a politician telling people not to scam anyone but the politician does exactly that himself. Don't misunderstand me "do no evil" have nothing to do with google showing less related search results it's a more rooted mentality than that.

Google is a greedy hypocritical company, the more time that have passed the easier it is too see through their corporate consumer management.

That's all

Who would have thought? Of course they are and everyone wants to lick their balls. Google can :321GFY

Nowadays google knows better what we are looking for than we know it ourselves

I am fed up of searching for something and getting an unwelcome forum post at digitalpoint from 2005.

I was searching for something a while back, can't remember exaclty what it was but it was a brand name of software. Typed it in Google expecting it to be top, it wasn't I eventually found it on page 3.
Bing had it number one.

I noticed that, too. Mostly forums and news sites appear on the first 30 results, especially on adult search terms.

A horny surfer won't visit #1 when it's a news site talking about "porn is bad", so they will go to results page 2, 3, 4 if they have to. Google can't tell users what they have to like, it still remains the users decision.

Funny example:

When searching for "new porn sites" on # 7 appears this one:

Porn Harms
pornharms.com
We know that this just means the Internet porn companies will expand to those domains as well and thousands of new porn sites will appear. Join us in the fight

Funny or should it make me cry? Not sure yet...

Google has 2 endless sources of traffic - Google Chrome and Android. Additionally they are buying search traffic from Firefox. That's why they try to monetize their search as much as possible and don't care about a quality of this search. It's very sad, but nobody can stop Google's monopoly at this moment.

Different search engines have different strategies behind their algo/logic. I won't defend Google or support Bing here but for this particular search query Google decided to show the tube site over the celeb blog site could be for many reasons. e.g. this tube site(#1) have more traffic than the celeb blog(#2) site. This factor decides authority. It might also taken into consideration which links get more clicks from SERPs. So, if users click tube site more than blog site, tube site link will get higher ranking easily. SEO 101.

I was bit surprised to see "nubiles" result. However, after some digging it looks like nubile is an adjective, so, there is no term as "nubiles" in dictionary. Noun form of nubile is nu·bil·i·ty. You can't expect to get results for term that doesn't exist.

I'm disappointed, Markul.

This was all started because of the Plugrush ordeal, a service that openly advertises and supports on IQ69.com and WJunction.com, a site that runs off of thieves and you know that. You were supportive, AK is attacking all monetization methods of pirates and brought plugrush forward, you then threw a fit and had your panties get all bunched up.

Just because you run a freemium service that has a lot of pirated and illegal content on it doesn't, and turn a blind eye to it... Doesn't mean you need to be hating! :)

How about you stick to running sites, allowing people to do all kinds of hard work, then completely shut them down with no warning. :thumbsup

I could stop google, but it require a lot of different resources, days when you could just set up a website and wait to go "viral" are long gone. But what i find stupid is how current competitors which are not bing working-they all have porn search disabled by default, some of them even completely disable it.When you censor things you cant expect good results. Some of them like duckduckgo pulling the same thing like google, being a default searching engine on some browsers/operative systems but that is still toolitle amount to make a difference plus they have a stupid name.

lol really? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

This was all started because AK started acting like an entitled-to-rule-royal-prick that think it's better for your cause, to create as much drama for anyone he can as long as he can get his campaign attention.

It's not that I don't support the cause, but it's the way you do battle. If I was AK and had to fight this war, I'd gun everything I had to get Google to start complying - just imagine being the guy that was able to get Google to remove infringing services from SERPS. Imagine that. Real impact.

Instead he chooses to be the bullying guy on a webmaster forum. Meh.
