undocumented immigrant can practice law?
http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/02/justic...igrant-lawyer/
California Supreme court will give illegal aliens anything I guess. I have to ask, how can a anyone practice law when they're breaking it? I guess that's what they mean by practice! |
land of the free, home of the immigrant

I'm still shocked at the driver license one. How the fuck can CA issue a driver license to someone here illegally?
|
Who better to practice law than those who break them?
Sounds like a typical lawyer to me actually. The law has nothing to do with actual justice or do you still believe that? It is all about manipulating the system and working around the law. If I am guilty that guy would be the first one I would call to get me off. |
California is a test model for the North American Union.

I don't see the issue here.
Long before I worked in porn, I used to work in hotels in Alameda County (Just outside of the San Francisco Bay Area). Four times a year all of the local hotels would book up solid. Four times a year the state attorney tests are given at multiple locations, and one of the locations was the local fairgrounds. People came from all around the world to take this test - If you can practice law in California in the United States you can practice law anywhere in the world. (Not really, but for the price of a plane ticket, a hotel room, and a small fee it's impressive on a resume when you are an attorney in India or what not.) I would imagine this is rather common with International law. I do have an issue with driver's licenses, however. I don't believe we should have out a driver's licence to any non citizen who wants it. I can't move to the UK and get a driver's license there, but I believe I can get a international driver's license which is for foreigners. (Correct me if I am wrong please.) |
i bet his speciality is immigration law.

He snuck into the US all by himself, at 17 months old. Lived only here in the US. Speaks English. Went to US schools his whole life, but he's "illegal". Makes no sense whatsoever.

many people self defend in court. by your "logic" above that should not be allowed either? your hate blinds you, sad. just because someone didnt check in at the door doesnt make them a lesser person or give reason to strip them of any rights. it just means they broke a rule. next time you speed, will you lose some rights too? should that be fair? |
they are getting away with things that we could not. fuck big brother! :disgust

in fact it's a crime known as unauthorized practice of law Black's Law Dictionary succinctly defines unauthorized practice of law by a person, typically a nonlawyer, who has not been licensed or admitted to practice law in a given jurisdiction. |

a. he is denied from practicing law... so he can take on a more productive occupation like for example picking oranges for $5/hr? b. he gets deported... the state spent $10s of thousands over the years subsidizing his education, so it makes sense to deport him so another country can take advantage of his acquired skills? c. let it play out just like it did, so he can put his skills to good use in the US... he will provide useful service to residents of CA, earn a good living, pay taxes, etc try to be objective... which of these 3 scenarios do you think is the best outcome... |
there is one way to be *qualified* to practice law in a state and that's to be accepted into the bar of that state.
there is one way that happens, by taking and passing the bar exam for that state. here's what's required to even be accepted to take the fucking bar exam:::::::: lawyers seeking admission must earn a Juris Doctor degree from a law school approved by the jurisdiction, and then pass a bar exam administered by it. Typically, there is also a character and fitness evaluation, which includes a background check. However there are exceptions to each of these requirements. A lawyer who is admitted in one state is not automatically allowed to practice in any other. |

Honestly, if I wanted to live in America, I'd move out of the country, renounce my citizenship, and then reenter illegally so I could live outside the law. You would get to vote, work at any occupation, get in-state tuition, get state-funded education and health care for you and your family, etc. but without all the liabilities of of citizenship.

Stupid website has more sense than you, before you blast it, prove it wrong Shit for Brains! So tell me, you want "Shit for Brains" or "Fucking Moron"? Both names apply for people talking out of their collective asses with no clue that have to make up shit in a debate! |
