200 bucks to my lawyer and my 6 point speeding got "taken care of"

Gotta love this corrupt world we live in

Back in december I was traveling from massachusetts to ny. In bridgeport, ct I got caught doing 86 on a 65. They gave me 75mph speeding ticked, 198$ BUCKS..
Thats not all 3 days later I was traveling again from massachusetts to ny. I got caught in rhode island doing 92 on 65. They gave me a ticket for 75.00 this time because I showed him I just got one 3 days before.

agreed, I have gotten tickets all over this country, and never heard of a speeding ticket that was more than 2, and that would be for 100+

you must have been a hit & run, DUI, 150+ in a stolen police car, repeat offender

Get a second opinion man. I think I got a ticket going 25 plus on the LIE and it might have been 4 before my lawyer took care of it.

Not true. I got a ticket for (if I remember correctly) 5 points and around a $500 fine for doing 95 in a 40 zone. I was 19 and stone cold sober with no priors. It must just depend on the state. (This was in MD btw.)

I admit I have stayed away from that corner of the country, but here if you had 5 points in 3 years you would no longer have a license.

And CA shares DMV records with SD, Nebraska, FL, TX, AZ, NV, UT at least

Back when I got that ticket the 'lose limit' was 8 points in 3 years. I nearly hit that limit too - I was a bit of a reckless teen.:Graucho

I think it helped that when I got caught doing 55 over it was around 3 am on a fairly rural road so the only thing I was likely to hit was a gopher. Had it been any time when traffic was about I think I would have gone to jail for dangerous driving.

Ditto, reckless operation reduced to "dangerous vehicle" charge - we were racing (didn't exceed the speed limit however) on a road here.

damn your'e lucky, I wasted $500 on a lawyer and fucking lost the case, and my license got suspended for two months :feels-hot

I am wanted in over 11 small east bubblefuck towns all across America for unpaid speeding tickets.

It seems some small towns in between the big cities make all of the local money by stopping us city slickers who speed through.

Little do they know we are speeding to get past their backwards town to avoid being cast in a scene from Deliverance 2. Yee Haw.
