Loaded Cash compromised

Just wondering what was up with the LC shit. I went to log in and none of my accounts are working. Tried resetting the passwords as it stated and it still has yet to be sent. Any clue what is going on with that shit? :disgust

Hey GFYers,

Indeed, it has come to our attention that some of our systems may have been compromised.
As a precaution, we have reset your password.
Please use the lost password function to reset your password to one of your choosing : http://www.loadedcash.com/?c=auth&a=lostpassword&nhf=1

Do NOT use the same password you have used in the past. Please update any email accounts that may have used the same password as your Loadedcash account.
It's really not such a big deal but we are not taking any chances and we are asking our affiliates to reset their password.

Let me know if you have any issues : [email protected]

Was our passwords leaked?

X_X_ROB_X_X 01-01-2014 11:50 PM

I have (had) a few different accounts on Loadedcash which I've used in the past for different types of traffic/tests/etc.. Some of these accounts haven't been used in over a year. The only way to reset the passwords for these old accounts is to enter the email address used when creating the account. Some of the email addresses used when creating the accounts are no longer working. So am I basically screwed when it comes to getting these accounts back?

dont tell me, our passwords were stored in plain text.
i guess its new trend.

plaintext is about as bad as md5, salted md5 and a few other encryptions, and if a hacker is going after a single target, most encryptions in general are horrible

from what i understand there are a bunch of nerds out there with insane cracking setups who crack virtually anything for pretty low prices

what loadedcash *should* have done, was not have been compromised... lol

thorough security auditing by wildly skilled hackers every now and again is a very necessary and very frequently overlooked necessity

If you do not have access anymore to the email addresses that were attached to your LoadedCash accounts, it will be a bit complicated but we have a solution. We need to make sure you are the owner of these accounts. Please contact me [email protected] with the account logins and the email adress for each account.

Yes Pad, i'd say the word "compromised" was a bit too strong for what happened. It's not such a big deal but anyway we did not want to take any chances and decided to reset passwords, that was the safest, fastest solution.

hackers dont play with each and every hash , you just gotta think outside of the box.

lucas131 01-04-2014 01:48 AM

1. loadedcash db or something have been compromised
2. they did not send any info, nothing, just changed passwords
3. on blocked login page they say change password on your email also
4. they say all is ok, they changed passwords. but, all is stolen already!
5. all is ok, no drama

really? :upsidedow :2 cents:

not like i care much, no money there for me i think, but, is this really serious business? :helpme

lucas131 01-04-2014 01:51 AM

i mean, shit happenns, but, is really the best way now to be quiet? :helpme

Erm what? Was our data or was our data not compromised? Reset or not, did someone get a hold of our username / password combination?

I am guessing it was and you choose to not tell anyone.

Pretty much any site can be hacked, I know from experience that LC doesn't screw around with security, they do put a lot into protecting data. I think their failure here is their failure to communicate with affiliates letting them know what has happened so people know what to be worried about. Also not having reps online while this was going on was just silliness. I had people hitting me up asking for a way to contact people that worked at LC.

I am well aware of that and I never said that they didn't take security seriously, but a b.s. reply like the one I got is pretty lame.
