I'm in Curacao. It's nice enough and all but why it's treated like the primo holiday destination?
 

Every inch of the island is developed. At its heart is a massive oil refinery that renders the Schottegat a poisoned cesspool and is only prevented from leaking out into the tourist areas by a floating boom. There's like one town worth the name. The historic attractions are so heavily reconstructed it might as well be Disneyland. A massive chalet village full of ropey Venezuelan whores. A couple of overcrowded beaches. What's the draw?

Ok they import their whores from Mexico?

1. They are not venezuelan. The working girls there are mostly colombian and dominican.
2. The larger part of the island is undeveloped. Go to westpunt during the day.

I do agree with you, overall I thought it was ok but yeah there are much better destinations. Perhaps it depends a bit on what you are looking for in a prime holiday spot.
