Why would they shutdown? They didnt have FULL movies like xvideos or redtube. what gives..

Got hit by google update maybe?

Mediamix 12-27-2013 02:30 PM

It's weird... Link

seeandsee 12-27-2013 02:34 PM

i never heard about that tube, what so special about them?

The Porn Nerd 12-27-2013 03:03 PM

Damn, and I was about to contact them next week! LOL Timing is everything....

I'm guessing the cost of running such an operation was not sustainable given their traffic?

poncabare 12-27-2013 03:08 PM

I think it's down for a redesign

Bingo! Why would surfers want to watch teaser clips when they can get full-length videos on other tubes. The illegal tube model will eventually fail because it's based on theft which is never a good long-term business model.

The sponsor/affiliate model works and should never have been fucked with. Tube owners are starting to realize this and trying to rebuild burned bridges.

I think there is only one reason for this. They just want to go to the moon

BAKO 12-27-2013 10:52 PM

shufuni had ok traffic before. I once prepaid for a spot for 6 months and made a killing on it :)

mamaliga 12-27-2013 11:32 PM

Nothing, is/was just another "watch free full videos" tube.

Couldn't agree more

Yes.
You mean Content Partner Programs where content owners after years of using unlicensed content are allowed to put a banner and/or link next to their videos which made the tubes successful? Or what do you call rebuild burned bridges?

ContentPimp 12-28-2013 07:45 AM

Maybe because they got the google breakup

I'm referring to the tubes that were padding their sites with stolen content for years and are now trying to partner up with the same sponsors who have been sending them many DMCA's over the years. I've received many of these offers over the past few months so something is up and the "Fuck you, I'll just take your content and sell ads" approach must not be working out as well as it use to.

The part that cracks me up the most are the replies from the tube owners that there's no way they can possibly moderate all the daily uploads. Oddly enough you never see anything other than adult content on their sites which would be impressive for a site that's on auto-pilot. How many adult videos do you see on youtube?

So now they are forced to either close or figure out a way to profit off content sponsors.

Probably this is because some sponsors partnered with those tubes.

I agree with you. Redtube for example has lots of stolen content, full videos of NA and others, uploaded by anonymous or some user accounts with hundres full videos. Their comment is simply: We can't review everything that is uploaded by our users.

On the other hand, a simple webmaster is not allowed to upload licensed content with a watermark to his own free sites (unless you have an affiliate program via CPP). Comment: We are reviewing submissions regularly and will delete such videos in short time.

Yes, that's what I mean. But I wouldn't call it rebuilding burned bridges which implies that they are doing it cause they find it fair to act this way.

I'd call it "Our site makes so much money that we can't risk a lawsuit or getting the site shut down

But sure, it depends on the individual point of view.

There are no shortcuts to success. Those who spend more time looking for shortcuts rather than good old fashion hard work will eventually find their efforts cut short.
