What's the easiest way to transfer money from 'Person A' to 'Person B'?

PayPal would be the easiest alternative, but that doesn't work in this case...

I live in Sweden and the person who will send me the money is located in Canada. Cheque takes too long time and costs a little too much, wire is also quite expensive (I don't want to spend ?40 on it...).

I've never tried Western Union or money order, so I can't say anything about that...

Are there any other good, online alternatives that are similar to Paypal?

Western Union works great all over the world. 5 minutes after you have paid, people can cash the money. I have transfered to Italy and Russia with no problems.

Hell.. I didn't even know they had an office in my town, it's a small city and I know every single grocery store BESIDES the one with the WU office, because it's so fucking small!

Western Union will cost you around $20 minimum. Look it up on the website, you can also find your nearest WU agent there. I know it's easier for me to receive american checks ($12 fee or so) than WU ($15 or so). But since I got a cc I use Paypal.

As I know you can cash and pay at every postoffice or bank.

I saw that WU can send out cheques to the reciever for an additional fee, is it these you can cash at any postoffice & bank?

I'd go with WU. When you pick up the $, WU prints out a check that is then cashed by the agent. You get your money right then and there. The person sending the money pays the fee, so there's nothing to worry about on your end.

Western Union has the most reliable and largest network in the world for transfering money.

There are some limits though. I think they cap out at $10K per transaction.

Also American Express has an international cash transfer system.

I've used Western Union and never had a problem once.

Use can also use private money handlers. They have discreet networks worldwide but you have to know people and the fees are high.

WU is the best. Forget about anything else. There can't be nothing easier.

I don't use WU... wire, epassporte or paypal if there's no other choice available.
