Anyone here have a 3d printer?
I am seriously thinking of purchasing one in the coming months..
The low end is around $2000.. Was looking at the Makerbot Replicator 2 for $1999 to start.. Though I don't really like the roughed look of some of the final products.. Is that the settings they use on their test prints, or is it the printer itself? I've seen some 3d prints come out ultra smooth.. anyone with experience on that lemme know.. I've got alot of stuff I can print out in my head.. Have some friends with 3D/CAD experience that are willing to do some crazy creations side by side with me.. could also help some friends with development of ideas they have as well.. |
We use the makerbot to print dildos.
Spend 6K+ if you want one.. 2K- = shit |

All depends what your making as it is good for prototypes to mold off and use other materials to construct whatever it is your actually making as a final product. It all seems rather brittle and I am sure what I have handled made with a 3d printer would shatter if dropped. 2k sounds like a bargain as it isn't to make a final product with it but construct molds. Iit is an inventors dream toy.
