Man what a mistake he made doing that. I'm for free speech and people should speak what they believe, but someone should have kept this from being printed.

Now I wonder how it will effect their viewership, the haters of the show call them a bunch of red necks, well, they are, so what? I've seen a couple shows and it's ok.

Good for him. Fuck being politically correct. He was asked a question, he honestly answered it. If the response wasn't to your liking then ignore him or don't watch his show.

The world needs more people that don't answer questions based on what they think the answer should be, but how they actually feel.

This should he helpful to the show I would think. I doubt there are too many gays watching these guys. I'd think a strong tie to religion would fit right in with most of their viewership.

I remember when Chicfili or how ever you spell it made a comment about gays and there was a big up roar and they wanted to pull together and boycott them.

I watched a couple shows, it's fun, it's red neck, but I will give something to the show I don't think any other show offers, it's "family" Not a nuclear family, but old fashion family. All of the Robertson men that are married are married to their first and only wife. That's saying something.

It was most likely him, being him, nobody at the studio really cared but they needed to satisfy complainers.

I've seen these guys act before on other shows/sitcoms. They can't act for shit. And while I firmly know reality shows are scripted, based on their terrible acting skills, I have to believe there is a lot of truth in their behavior.

Agreed. I mean I could care less about who is fucking who and I think that if it was gonna be that big of a deal A&E should have had more control over what questions was asked. It's not like he went out and was like oh I think today I will target the gays. He was asked a question and gave what I believe was his honest opinion. I don't watch this show and could care less... But when you start comparing gay sex to Bestiality, something is seriously fucking wrong with you. One is legal consensual sex between two people, and the other is fucking animals against their will and illegal.

OK, so you're saying he didn't compare them then? You're right. He said gay sex is where sin starts, and then "morphs out" to bestiality then promiscuity.

My guess is he would say gay sex between two men or two women is "worse than" sex with an animal which itself is a bit worse than fucking around outside of marriage.

I think you guys are misunderstanding what free speech is. He has every right in the world, to say what ever he wants. He exercised his right of free speech. He was not arrested by any govt agency nor was he ticketed or fined by a govt agency. However he happens to be on the payroll of a TV series whom also has the right to determine how people perceive their show and those who represent it in public. They have the right to determine his employment if he steps out of line of what they consider good taste or what ever you want to call it.

Freedom of speech is not freedom of consequence or freedom from responsibility of ones actions.
