Are you suggesting that it became self-aware?

No the fucking thing is meant to fly back to where it set off from no way of tracking it.

Yes and it did not work it had full signal at start and flying up as well as flying in to the distance. So money well spent on the GPS option.

pornguy 12-19-2013 10:42 AM

Tracking tile. GPS light weight and not expensive.

Wow that sucks. :(

I was expecting you to say it crashed and was going to request the video of that. But it just took off? No good mang.

I like the cloud video.

Sorry for your loss.

Seth Manson 12-19-2013 01:43 PM

Were you flying on 2.4GHz while using a 1.2GHz video transmitter? And no frequency filters? If so, you were asking for a fly-away, which is what you got.

Damn that sucks, lets hope it didn't land on someone's head.
Did you forgot to set its home location before you flew off?

I had mine fly back home numerous times just fine.
What flight computer did you have?

BTW, maybe it did work but it ran out of power before it could return home..

SilentKnight 12-19-2013 07:48 PM

Sucks dude...sorry to hear.

I can't remember the last time we had a calm enough day to take the quadcopter out. Seems like its been constantly windy for the longest time.

I'd love to try it out during a snowfall - but we haven't had a suitable one yet.

Wonder if falling snow would really fuck with the avionics...hmm.

DONOVAN66 12-20-2013 04:23 AM

sucks, all the money gone......

isn't there a limit how high can you fly with that thing? I mean what if it hits a smaller airplane or something?
