Best build for the hun
 

Okay so we are a new company getting on the scene and our partner keeps telling us that the Hun is a good way for some traffic but i dont know whats the build templat to begin on to build a small gallery to submit. Any ideas?

Otherwise go look at the galleries he has listed and you can get good idea of what accepts.

Simple seems to work best on there and make sure your server can handle the surge of traffic from a front page ad.

I thought it was close to impossible to get a gallery on the hun unless you pay for the add...

His traffic doesn't convert.

The convert ratio is about the same as tube traffic. Ie. Poor. Plenty of hits but not many conversions. Nevertheless, a great site and well worth submitting regularly if just for brand exposure alone!

To see what others get listed with is a good idea indeed. Another good idea is to scroll down the page a bit to see the highest votes for the day before. You'll get a good idea of what visitors like.

there's a but...

don't copy what others do, or the traffic indeed is hard to convert. If you offer the same everybody else is offering you won't make a lot of money on the short run. It will still get your name out and it doesn't hurt your google rating either... Find a niche in all what's offered and you can still make a buck to two (or maybe even more! :))

Be original, treat visitors like people (they are!) and not like walking wallets (they're not!)

the hun are actually very good at listing submitted galleries. Almost all of mine appear on the main hun or the overflow. I think the only times I've been refused if is my server goes down the day it gets reviewed (sods law) or if I've forgotten and tried using a banner that looks like a thumbnail.

I see what they accepted but the problem is I dont know what builder to use to get that plain and streight forward look going. I don't know how to build with HTML quite yet

Try any basic WYSIWYG page builder - Take a look at download.com - There are thousands - Keep it simple and don't even think about using WP or another CMS for gals - Your server WILL die if you get listed...

I downloaded WYSIWYG site builder 9 and it looks to be perfect for the task

It's no magic to get listed. Post something new and original and treat the people you want to expose your gallery to with respect and you're bound to get listed...
