Why do Jews call blacks 'schvartze'?
Does it mean 'homey' or 'African friend' in Jewish?

It is Yiddish for black.
. |
If you really are dumb enough to believe that it just means "black" then the next time you are in a room with Jews and blacks yell out "schvartza!" and watch the Jews in the room gasp.:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
I have dated lots of jewish girls and spent a summer in Israel so I think I know a thing or two about the names they call people. |
oy vey this thread!

Lol, should I put whitewall or schvartza-wall tires on my truck?

It is a racist term used by Jews to describe Africans. As a white anglo saxon wagon burning atheist I am highly offended. jk I dont give a fuck
|
It's a special word cuckold jews use for the men they want to have fuck their wives and daughters.
|
It is related to "Schwarze" in german what means exactelly the same. It not really racistic to say it but also not political correct.
|
jews are so integrated in this industry it is rather remarkable why do you bring this shit up mutt come on you can do better than this i know you can.

That being said, he was asking a simple question that required a simple answer. I do not believe he meant it with any sort of racial or other negative connotation, at least how I read it. :2 cents: |
As a jew I can tell you that schwartze is in the old yiddish langauge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yiddish_language) for black people :)

It comes from Germanic, from which Yiddish (meaning Judisch, i.e. the dialect of the Jews) is descended, and in German, Schwarz means black. And of course "Negro" means black also. Those are all just words for black. Calling a black person black is only bad in America and only in some circumstances.
Meanwhile, everyone refers to everyone else as Yellow, White, Red, etc. Velasquez has "Brown Power" on his neck. I guess he doesn't mean light skinned blacks or indians. Their skin is the wrong brown. Whatever. |

Yep, it is a term for black. In my experience it is slightly racist by the tone in which it is used, when and where. (and of course the slightly distasteful look on their faces when saying it)

When I was in Africa recently, a Swahili speaker told me a story about a "Mzungu" (white) and apologized for the quote. I was like, who cares? It isn't really derogatory, and you do stick out. But I'll tell you they have no worries about being called black - they get more pissed off if you miss their tribe. My experience, people have an endless capacity to split themselves up and always seem to be the better one. |

calling somebody black is not offensive or racist !
|
It's like the word "Gringo". It's meaning is not offensive, but in certain contexts certainly can be.

You do not see that very often if ever with a Catholic being offended by being called a Catholic. The exact same can be said for blacks, Chinese, Baptists, Irish, Muslims, whatever. You can reference them for their religion, race, or country of origin and they do not get offended. Many actually appear to wear it like a badge of honor. It's strange to say the least. :2 cents: |

I'm sure they call blacks a lot worse in Israel. They wanted to ship African immigrants to Australia! |
