User friendly? I can not imagine easier thing than Vegas Movie Studio. I use PNG picture overlay for watermarks.

+ the Vegas Movie Studio costs about $50.

Best way to do! :thumbsup

Why use one tool for cutting video and then another tool for watermarking it...

Re-rendering = loss of quality.

Code:

working watermarking

ffmpeg -i test1800.mp4 -vf "movie=watermark.png [watermark]; [in][watermark] overlay=(main_w-overlay_w-10)/2:(main_h-overlay_h-10)/2 [out]" outputvideo.flv

watermark position is in middle.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ffmpeg ?i inputvideo.avi -vf "movie=watermark.png [watermark]; [in][watermark] overlay=main_w-overlay_w-10:main_h-overlay_h-10 [out]" outputvideo.flv

watermark on right bottom of video.

I must say that we really have to put watermarks on videos and photos that we make to prove its authenticity.
