Read this before you decide to use them atm http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoMarket...tsy_overnight/ Their system can't handle the growth they're experiencing atm They've been having a ton of issues. Missing trades, missing deposits, slow withdrawals, wrong orderbooks being displayed, wrong api results. |
Someone even sent back 60 Bitcoins they where mistakenly credited by Cryptsy last week, now that's being honest!

cryptsy has been having problems for several days, mostly related to overload. Makes for some silly situations, like the buy price being higher than the sell price.
bter.com is also having problems, it's randomly losing deposits. And vircurex's API went crazy the other day and started duplicating orders, over and over and over. I think pretty much every exchange is suffering from the influx of newbies who want to get in on the act. It's interesting to watch them creaking under the load though... kinda scary to think that you're relying on these misbehaving exchanges to look after your funds. |

I've been looking at cryptsy but their platform is shit right now. If you use their api to get the current orderbook, half of the orders don't make sense, price*quantity=total only happens half the time. Some orders show up with a quantity of zero. They clearly are not keeping up with their popularity, and you can't be successful trading if you can't get reliable data.

Cryptsy & Bter will get a lot of business in 2014 if they can deal with their growing pains. |
