Martingale Roulette Strategy Improved?

Hey, before any of you read further, yes I do realize the flaws of the martingale strategy. 1. Need to have a large cash pool and 2. Maximum table bet will cap you out for an catastrophic loss. (Info for those who don't know what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marting...etting_system))

That being said, I feel like betting on say Red, Even, 1-18, ie playing 3 bets according to the martingale strategy independently decreases how often you hit catastrophic loss, although increases the severity since all three could go at once. That being said, you may have a higher probability to get through an evening of roulette this way since catastrophic loss is less likely.

Even when you lose you will probably be winning elsewhere. So losses are averaged out. So when one of these bets goes catastrophic, in all likely hood, you are still taking down some chips because with martingale the tendency is to slowly climb and then hit a cliff. So when the cliff is coming on one bet, you are still climbing with the other two. Also since all three add together for the maximum table bet, the cliffs are smaller since you cant cap out on one game.

Obviously on average you will still lose, its gambling, just curious if anyone had any thoughts on what I am doing or if someone knew how to calculate the statistics of this if there is some kind of improvement over the basic martingale on one bet strategy vs multi independent bets.

*Sorry im drinking if it doesn't make sense.
