toothaches - always on the weekend

Drank three big glasses of homemade grapa last night, slept like a baby until 6am and it looks like I'll have to do the same tonight. If that doesn't help, I have lots of wine too.

You don't have dentists open late or on the weekends?

Sure, but I'd rather wait until tomorrow and see my dentist. She definitely has a gentle touch.

Being British, I dont have any teeth left these days, so no such problems for me :)

The last tooth emergency I had was starting to flare up on a Wednesday, and it was mild pain on Friday. By the time Sunday came around, I was having a Def Con 5 full scale tooth nerve implosion that had me swigging vodka and curling up in a ball on the floor. The only thing that saved me is my father-in-law is an oral surgeon and he opened his office. My wife had to put a gun to my head to get me to call him.

Toothaches are a thing of the past.

29 extractions a decade ago.

Now my former dentist pays his own kid's college tuition. :1orglaugh

It's the case with our dogs. If they get hurt in any way, it's always at night on weekends, when the vet charges triple rates.

I used to get one every few months until I figured out there was a food trap n I just had to clean out regularly. I haven't had one since.

There's another GFYer who had all of their teeth pulled upon the first sign of trouble. Didn't like the pain so got rid of them all.

You can never go wrong with pain killers and whiskey when you have a tooth ache.

Waterpiks are wonderful for that stuff. Rinsing with listerine will fix most everything else.

Always keep Glyoxide in your medicine cabinet.
Don't be fooled by the mild description on the box. This stuff goes below the gum and brings oxygen with it, which kills the bacteria that is beating the shit out of your nerve. Been there, done that. Many times. 100% success rate.
