Affiliates.. do you ever?
Just a curious question for affiliates. Do you ever promote a site that doesn't sell for shit, but you do it anyway simply so you have the right to use their content (within the terms of use, of course)?
Yeah, I had script setup to autoupdate blogs. I posted paysite-content with their aff-links but the main focus was on the dating and webcam-ads at the sidebar since that's was sells for me.

I have one sponsor which fits into that category

you are asking everyone here if it is ok to steal someones content for dressing up your sites?
nope, trying to be honest.
I do... Sometimes I get a ton of traffic for searches on a site that never sells... But then those surfers buy my popups or something else on the page.
I do, because I don't have a time to remove those sites. I know precisely what sites are selling and how much (conversion rate).I don't care about content like you said
I just leave them up because I'm to lazy to remove them :)
Yes, all the time, only if the surfers love it
Every damn day.
I have blogs to feed, and so many affiliate programs just can't make sales these days. It's not stealing; I use the content in approved ways and the links are there. But it's common for my primary motive to be "put up a pretty picture to keep the surfers coming back". Sales if any are unexpected gravy. I typically make more on sidebar ads than on affiliate commissions. |
Nope:thumbsup
