the craziest thing happened to my camera
so I use a custom WB every set... no biggie, the thing is 1/2 though a set the WB changed a few days ago... I saw it immediately when I pulled the set up in post so I checked all the menus, setting everything... nothing changed at all... well that's a fucking mystery for sure right?
when I went back to shooting never happened again, or at least not yet... BUT the crazy shit is the look of the camera changed...no shit... the WB is more natural and the images are fucking stunning... I mean the d800 is a great imager and I was really happy but FUCK! the d800 is cranking out pure beauty now... :thumbsup |

Nah, I just don?t see a purpose of setting a custom white balance every time I change a setup. Let the model hold the above card for the first shot of every set, then set your white balance in post off the card. Copy first image data receipt (WB, sharpening, custom color profile, etc) and paste data to all other images in that set. That?s the easiest way for me to do it anyways. I just leave the camera setting to flash or daylight. Besides I always forget to set a white balance on every set :1orglaugh And of course this will only work if you shoot RAW. Custom white balance most def if you're shooting jpg. You find out what happened? Maybe the camera settings reset back to factory settings? |

can i send my d600 over for some of that wb magic?

Did you change exposure settings during that set? The image on the right looks brighter than the image on the left in the floor tile area and highlights in the curtains.
