mineistaken 12-02-2013 07:11 PM

Interesting thought, usually people do not think hat user died if he is no longer active on the forum :)

Interesting thought...how do "YOU" determine what members usually think when another long time member becomes inactive...educate me.

I'm so relieved you made this post.

I know several members that became inactive and it was because they were reported as being dead. JimmyF comes to mind. He was one that personally knew PF. Their was another that personally new PF that is no longer active but I personally know that he did not die.

Huh? You just posted what you thought - you noticed him inactive and your first question was "did he die".
When I see any long term member inactive I definitely not think about them being dead.

MaDalton 12-02-2013 07:28 PM

i find it rather weird to see threads bumped of people that really died...

like seeing a thread from ASM and then thinking for a millisecond "whoa - he's back"

Yes couple or few members died and hundreds just became inactive but did not die.
Died members are absolute minority of inactive members so there is no reason to even consider this possibility.

Penny24Seven 12-02-2013 07:46 PM

maybe he is like franck and in prison,

What is your estimate of long term/years members that suddenly became inactive without having died?

At the very least 10 times more than they ones who died. Are you claiming it is so difficult to leave adult industry and/or GFY forum that only "death do us part"? :1orglaugh

Yes...something along those lines.

I actually think it's cool. ASM spent so many years discussing so many things here he has a large part of his brain uploaded to the internet to keep a part of him alive. It would be sad to see GFY die one day and have "him" erased.

kind of crazy to think that what stays alive after you die are your posts on GFY...

i might think about doing some posts twice in the future :upsidedow

bean-aid 12-02-2013 08:25 PM

Ha, well there is that. But it's a truer, less self edited version of yourself than if you thought about the posterity of your posts. You might not necessarily want your kids to know their "dad" from their troll baiting and flaming on a porn forum but a lot of good stuff comes through regardless. I've been running my mouth off here for almost 13 years and although I would have changed some opinions, once you take the vitriolic posts out there would be a lot of stuff that would be interesting to a descendant. I look at my wife doing family history shit, this is like a big combative diary.

You did the opposite, died and kept posting.

adultchatpay 12-03-2013 05:47 AM

He is out there somewhere...

BlackCrayon 12-03-2013 06:13 AM

either he had to actually start really working to keep making money or he had to get a job in the 'real world.

KillerK 12-03-2013 08:22 AM

:2 cents: that guy was a douche

candyflip 12-03-2013 09:12 AM

He had some close family things to deal with and changed his focus. Health related if I recall correctly.

I didn't get in details for fear it was something with his little one, and didn't want to stir up emotions.

Cherry has posted once or twice since then.
