Do you prefer to stay in or go out at New Year's Eve ??

Is it boring to stay in, or is overcrowding and the over inflated prices from everything like clubs, taxi cabs etc enough to make you say "fuck that shit, wake me up when it's over" ??

We haven't made any plans yet but as usual at the start of December we try to work out where or what we will be doing to bring in the New Year.

You ? :upsidedow

MaDalton 12-02-2013 12:00 PM

going with a couple of people to Budapest

L-Pink 12-02-2013 12:01 PM

I stay in. I've never gotten a DUI and don't plan to.

J. Falcon 12-02-2013 12:33 PM

Depends on the year. It's always a pain in the ass to get home, that's what bothers me the most.

I also enjoying sitting on the toilet on NYE...

As my deceased Granny used to say... "Fart as you mean to go on..."

scuba steve 12-02-2013 12:46 PM

depends on where you live. miami costs an arm and a leg to go out, super crowded too. i'm sure in other cities it could be more fun

nexcom28 12-02-2013 12:47 PM

I went out a couple of years ago on new years eve and it was shit. The bars and clubs were dead.

JockoHomo 12-02-2013 12:48 PM

Stay home with friends who actually mean something to me.

Why spend the night out with a bunch of drunk assholes you don't know or care to know.

Yup. If the weather here is really bad at NY it just ends up a nightmare. We got stuck for hours a couple of years ago.

Maybe a house party will be better this year...

If you want to go out but don't want the crowds or noise, try going to a really nice restaurant instead. We've done this a couple of times over the past few NYE's and its great.

I party enough all year round, so I generally let the party amateurs have New Years Eve to go crazy and endanger themselves and others... :smokin

You know that cars can hold more than 1 person? And if it holds 2 or 4 it does not mean that all of them are driving :1orglaugh

The further away I am from drunk douche bags, the better off I am. I've stayed home for the last 6 years.

beerptrol 12-02-2013 02:50 PM

Stay home, have friends over, drink, and fire up the grill! If the weather isn't windy or snowing have a bonfire and jam to some classic rock and country western! If the fireworks place has any specials I'll probably load up on fireworks too!

PR_Glen 12-02-2013 02:53 PM

I find it boring to make a big deal of something that happens every year. bdays, new years xmas.. I'll do something fun every now and then on those days but it becomes lame fast. It doesn't help that my bday is only a month after xmas hehe

i tend to celebrate random days of the year as I see fit. But i'm kinda weird like that I guess.

adultchatpay 12-02-2013 02:57 PM

Staying home first, then go out next

RyuLion 12-02-2013 02:58 PM

I already spent all over around the world and spent tons of $$$$$ and experienced different ambiances..I might just go to Vegas again or spend it at a house party this year..

baddog 12-02-2013 03:01 PM

We have been going to a fundraiser the last couple of years; I don't know if they are doing it again this year or not.

Robbie 12-02-2013 03:05 PM

I have a room reserved at the new Downtown Grand here in Vegas to party on New Years Eve

Exactly. People who need to go out and do that every year need a hobby.

djroof 12-02-2013 03:49 PM

Go for poker!!!!

onwebcam 12-02-2013 04:04 PM

Usually go to a fiends strip club with my gf. It's usually not too crowded and everything but the girls are free so I only have to spend what I want.

DWB 12-02-2013 04:08 PM

Really depends on where I am and the mood I'm in. Last year I was in another city and got caught in so much traffic that I said screw it and went back to the hotel. On a whim, I went to the roof and it turned out having a 360 degree view of fireworks all around the city at midnight. It was awesome! I can't imagine being on the ground was any cooler than that. So that time staying home worked out.

sandman! 12-02-2013 04:12 PM

i usually go out

The problem is most of my friends are the type that show up fucked up and the night goes downhill from there. No matter what, I end up being the guy that drives home.

If I stay in my community/resort it's pretty safe because you can't get a DUI in a golf cart but then you have drunk tourists in the bars which gets old.

Plus I've turned into a pussy lately ??.

It's a tradition to bring in the New Year at a pub

theking 12-02-2013 06:28 PM

I cannot even remember when I last went out on New Years.

The Porn Nerd 12-02-2013 07:18 PM

I've done it all on NYE, including the Times Square thing but instead of being down in the crowd with a million assholes I was on the roof of the building where they drop the ball (with about a dozen assholes). It was fucking FREEZING COLD.

Been to parties, bars, clubs, been everywhere in search of that elusive "good time", yet the good times rarely came. Maybe being forced to have a "good time" when I'm damn well SUPPOSED TO have a good time makes me NOT want to have a good time, know what I mean?

Know what's a good time on NYE? Some ice cream and a Twilight Zone marathon.

ErectMedia 12-02-2013 07:24 PM

old school days go out and get wasted, last few years been pretty chill as been there done that and the body don't recoup like it used to :2 cents:

The one year I spent NYE on the Vegas strip I found it pretty boring.

Just seemed like most people weren't quite sure the best place to be or what to do... So we hung around for a little while then hit the strippers...

freecartoonporn 12-03-2013 04:53 AM

stay in with family and close friends.

I wouldn't go that far. For a lot of people it's a tradition and I understand that, just not for me is all.

Yup it's always been a big thing here to celebrate "the bells".

I would never spend NYE out with the thousands of people who stand out in the street for hours in the freezing cold in places like Edinburgh etc. Not my idea of fun...

Andrezza 12-03-2013 08:31 AM

Never went out on new years eve. Since my childhood new years eve is celebrated at home, with the family...
