Quick update, Just talked with him this morning, it seems like the only thing this stroke did was mess up his speech! He is able to walk think even talk but if he gets excited while talking then you can not understand him! Thanks for all the well wishes :-)

He was lucky -- a minor stroke. Usually speech confusion will stop after a while.

'a while' will vary depending on circumstances?

PornDiscounts-V 12-03-2013 01:26 PM

Let me guess... He decided to try eating a Mediterranean diet without knowing it is full of vitamin K that causes your blood to clot and he is at risk of strokes when looking into his family history?

Harmon 12-03-2013 01:28 PM

Glad he's doing better. Best wishes

Hope he gets well soon. Was it out of nowhere or was there some reasons (like smoking or overweight etc)?

Basically, that time frame depends on a patient's brain rerouteing of the signals around the damaged areas caused by a stroke, dead brain cells from getting no blood caused by a (or some) smaller arteries' occlusion (blockage) -- speech clarity and cognisance recovered within weeks hopefully.

SilentKnight 12-03-2013 04:58 PM

All the best for a speedy and full recovery for your biz partner.

my ex girlfriend had a stroke at 30 it was minor she lost only some peripheral vision permanently.

she was telling me she had a really bad headache
And I was like yeaaaa ok u will be fine take an advil and boom stroke! Man did I feel like a douche for not paying attention!

She was an athlete in great condition.
It may have been a known side effect from birth control she was on.

Best wishes Fungus! :thumbsup

Painkillers such as Ibuprofen are often the cause of these early strokes :2 cents:
