where to buy music albums in MP3 format?

it's a little bit beyond the scope of this board, but since i know you guys are all geeks this is a good place for this question nevertheless.

I'm looking for some kind of online shop where I can buy music albums. Not as a CD but downloadable in MP3. If the shop offers a wide selection of top albums, the pricing is attractive and the albums are instantly downloadable, I'm very interested. I've read about sites like these a couple of times but now I can't find any. (Except liquid music, which is damn expensive.)

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Yeah, it's called Kazaa...it's kind of on the honor system.....but you can just send a one time payment of $1000 cash to....

Now you can download as many albums as you'd like.

Happy surfing!!

kazaa.
type in the artist and album and click all the songs.
instant download and no money needs to be paid :winkwink:

1 - if all tracks of an album are even available through kazaa, i'm getting sick of finding correct versions of them. then if you finally found one, the quality is poor or connection speed is horrible. when you finally got all the tracks then you've got the differences (volume, quality, sound balance) between the individual tracks due to different encoders.

2 - i prefer the legal way over the illegal way.

so if the albums are instantly downloadable at a good quality (192khz) through a fast connection, and when the pricing is decent (half the price of a CD or something like that), I think the time-saving and the legal-aspect are more than worth it.

just my :2 cents:

why are people so lazy these days? You want to download mp3 yet you want to pay for it. Go out to the damn store, buy the cd and encode it to mp3. Too hard?
