Can you still mine bitcoins with a cpu or common gpu at all?
If these morons are going to keep the price this high, what the hell, it'd be worth it to try and find some I would think..

Total waste without asic mining equip.
You can get a little thing called a block eruptor for about $30 on ebay. It will mine at about 333 M/hs Which will be about 100 times faster than a really nice video card/GPU The return on that investment will take a while though. Plus you'll need a fan they get hot as fuck while running. With 3 of them running and mining at a little over 1 GH/s You can expect to get about 0.0008 bitcoin per day or about $0.68 You'll spend more than that on electricity running them. |
waste of time :2 cents::2 cents:

At current prices with one piece you will "mine" (not profit) about $0.23/day They sell for about $30 each delivered. A month ago they were $9 each. |
well for this is a waste of money/time too...

There are a few other alt coins that are mined using the same asic equipment. And there are even more alt coins that are script based. |
