Tips for working with watermarks/post rolls

Just looking for some tips and data. You know things like the effectiveness of a watermark in the lower right corner versus the upper left. www.domain.com versus domain.com. How many seconds to optimally display the url for a post roll, things like that.

For a post roll where nothing id clickable and you are relying on the surfer typing in an url which is short would you consider displaying the url for 10 seconds to be enough or too much or little?

Thank you. :)

upper left? heads at this corner show up more often and you will hide them with watermark. in such a case why not to put watermark at the center? :D

The clip is just to draw eyes. The goal is to get people to visit the url. Branding isn't a concern at this point. I'm not using adult content or marketing paysites. Other than that I can't say more or I give it away and create more competition for myself. :)

It's hard to track because even if you split test with separate domains the domain names themselves can make a difference. But I notice anecdotally post rolls are at least 2 or 3 times as effective as a basic watermark.

I'm interested in any and all data. For instance I've seen it said before that for some reason watermarking with www.domain.com is much effective than just watermarking with domain.com. I'm interested in tips like this.

It's not that bad in the upper left actually as long as the watermark isn't too obtrusive/large. The question is, is it as effective though?? :)

What everyone else does isn't always necessarily the best thing though. I'm making money off the beaten path.
