Just sad. The crack smoking Toronto mayor has a higher approval rating than Obama

Are Obama's adviser's suggesting he light up?

Arnox 11-23-2013 02:45 AM

Voters: "We want to be legalized!"
Mayor: "I take drugs!"

Why would you expect a change? Nothing wrong with a bit of crack to take the edge off. ;) :thumbsup

Klen 11-23-2013 03:24 AM

Just read article in newspapers about him,it says how he made Toronto no poverty city and a lot of other shits as well.Well i suppose scandalus but effective mayor is better then other kind. Here in Croatia we also have crazy major as mayor of main City,he even exited his party and still managed to beat on last election with landslide victory.

Phoenix 11-23-2013 03:32 AM

He kept his word and went up against the current power players wasting money.

So he's the opposite of Obama who is just a tax and spend liberal whose expanding the government to levels like we've never seen...

Kinda makes a lot of sense then.

arock10 11-23-2013 07:47 AM

Versus a "run up the debt by reducing taxes for the wealthy" and spend conservative? ;)

Even the black people here in NC aren't happy with Obama.

SilentKnight 11-23-2013 08:14 AM

Being Mayor of Toronto has to be the only job where you can smoke crack cocaine, drink yourself into a stupour, attend public functions pissed to the gills, drink-and-drive, bully co-workers, consort with known criminals, alleged prostitutes...

...and still keep your day job.

:disgust

But it's all good.

He's still perceived to have saved the taxpayers some money (it's cheaper to drive home drunk...than hire a driver). :1orglaugh

Sly 11-23-2013 08:23 AM

When you "pay the bills," you get to do what you want.

Despite his behavior, perceived or not, I haven't seen anyone say that he hasn't followed through with what he said he would do?

How many people in the private sector 'follow through' with what's expected of them in their jobs every single day - but would be fired in a heatbeat if they did even a fraction of what Rob Ford has done with alcohol, drugs and whores - while on the job?

Decisions he makes as Mayor affect millions of people. How can people have confidence his decisions are sound - or instead made while in a drug/alcohol induced condition?

You don't have to make the private sector argument with me. I'm convinced 95% of government employees, elected and hired, would be fired on the spot in the private sector. :winkwink:

Go unions!

I think he is used to it.
He has been running his family's company for years now...rumoured to be doing about 100 million per year.
So he is no stranger to big business.

I know several public union employees here in Toronto, they have this sense of entitlement it is unreal.

Yeah, Deco Labels and Tags - the same company awarded 98 contracts worth $130,000 to supply stickers, tags and decals to the City of Toronto.

Now that's astute business.

Fuck the conflict of interest. :1orglaugh

Why is it sad?

He said he would cut costs and he did.

Did he fail to do what he said he would?

Does it matter what he does in his private life?

And the truly sad thing is they wouldn't even be able to understand why. I have never met a gov employee that had any concept of profit/loss or customer service.

And yet...unionized and public employees if they develop alcohol/drug problems - it's diagnosed as a "disease" and they're sent for treatment while continuing to receive their pay.

In the private sector those same employees would generally be terminated if they were caught drinking or doing drugs while on the job.

Same story everywhere. When you're guaranteed a job no matter what your performance is, you get conditioned to be entitled.

It's the same story everywhere. The private sector pays for the public sect

I think it is sad for Obama, not Ford. I kind of like Ford. To me this shows a great symptom of the US political problems. Sure, Obama hasn't done very well in a lot of areas. I felt he has had the deck stacked against him since day one and the bad roll out of Obamacare has hurt him.

If Obama went on TV and said he never ate some woman't pussy it would be the biggest story of the decade. Not to mention saying that on TV would have some political leaders turning inside out and asking to have all of television shut down.

I think at this point Obama could personally cure cancer and still wouldn't get more than a 50% approval rating.

At least in Canada the people seem open enough to look at the guy and decide that yes, he has fucked up in her personal life, but he is still doing well at his job.

JockoHomo 11-23-2013 04:45 PM

Nope -

NOT HAPPY WITH OBAMA AT ALL!

Yes it does.

Generally the people that are elected are elected by the people that have the same morals, same political interests and same views.

Private life? Not when you are a political figure in a position to make economical, social and government changes.

I hate political hypocrites more than child molesters! Well about as much anyways. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

People that make laws and rules based on their moral beliefs and force those morals on the majority, is lame. But when that person of power forces their perceived moral views down my throat and then get busted doing drugs with a Tranny hooker; that seriously pisses me off!!

Example: Pro life figures who opposes abortions on rape victims, and have daughters getting abortions in secret. (ADG will find something. lol)

Political figures fighting the war on drugs and gets caught doing drugs.

Politicians hard stances on crime and he gets a DUI.

Moral politicians, getting caught with hookers and having affairs on their wives. (Republicans seem to be leading that one)

Further more when a politician is up to "No Good" and gets himself into a position where he is getting black mailed to make decisions that are not in the publics best interests to keep that shit quiet, is what bothers me.

Shit!! They make movies about it monthly and catch these crooks about 20+ times a year.

Fuck the politicians!! Need a rule where if you get caught doing illegal shit, you pay back all of the money you made since getting into office. Why? Because thats not what the people voted for, thats not what the people paid taxes for and its a good start.

Moral hypocrites should be burned at the stake publicly.(I mean that fugitively)

And all politicians should be drug tested monthly. They do that shit at Starbucks and other jobs.

so you prefer it if they do no drugs, say the right thing, but do nothing to ones that are drug takers, no morals, but get things done.

the irony being we do porn.

Yes and no.

I prefer that they practice what they preach.

Dont do drugs.

Do what you say, you are going to do.

Represent the people that put you into office. If you are on a "Go after Drug users" platform then go after drug users.

If your Platform is a moral one, represent it. Don't bang hookers behind your wife's back.

"Get things done?" Really? If your not going to try and get things done, don't bother running for office. Simple!

I dont do drugs, I don't drink, I don't smoke pot.

I just hate Political Hypocrites.

I like leaders that lead by example, even if I do not agree with what they say or with what they are trying to do. I can respect them for being "stand up" in what ever it is that they believe in and trying to accomplish, even if I don't.
