I bought mine at $203. I heard about Bitcoin here and researched it and bought some. I wish I bought more but I still made a few thousand already. They say it could easily reach $10,000 to $100,000 within a year

Probably many people doing that, but the problem is that it's near impossible to get your USD out of mtgox.

So you buy BTC at $450 on bitstamp, sell at $500 on mtgox. Your USD balance goes up by $500... now what? :) You can't withdraw it to repeat the cycle.

That's why mtgox prices are higher. It's good if you want to deposit BTC, speculate, then withdraw BTC... but with severely limited USD withdrawal options it's not really an exchange right now.

It's not a bubble theirs a limited supply and a huge demand! If their was a much larger supply like with Litecoin I would say it could easily drop. If it did drop you better believe it that the price would skyrocket back up in a day or two!

I didn't really dig into the bitcoin itself, but is it easy to buy and sell? Or it's a pita to find a brokers with minimal commissions?

I have seen drops of $100 or more in a few minutes. I am sure it's a bubble and I think it will drop a lot. I agree that after a few days the price will shoot back up but not as high as now. That will take a couple of months and then it will be past $1000.

That'll depend on whether demand from China continues to increase, that appears to be what is driving these increases atm.

There was a couple of years ago but you need ASIC miners now to generate Bitcoins and even that's unprofitable for most.

Just as the financial world has multiple currencies like the pound, euro and dollar the online currencies are gonna have multiple main coins. There's a limited supply of BTC, believe LTC is on the same path as BTC was two years ago and will be added to trading portfolios in the near future.

It's over $600 now, $750 is possible...

Note that you will not get the absolute best price, but with all of the mucking around it may take to get USD into a proper exchange the price would have gone up by then anyway (ie buying it now at a 3% loss is better than buying it in a few days when the market rate has gone up by 10%...)
