Toronto has gotten more worldwide publicity for weeks that would have cost billions to generate and nobody is laughing at the city, they are laughing at Rob Ford and the absurdity of the situation.

The only thing embarassing to the city itself is the lack of a procedure/process to remove a mayor from office other than him being dragged off to jail or a mental hospital.

It's an SNL sketch come to life.

i don't think he ever really hid it. if i remember it was almost his lack of charm that got him in. He kept his promises though and has saved the city something like 200 million a year. That 200 million got him enemies.
